Weddings

If you’re looking under this section, I’ll assume that ‘Congratulations’ are in order! Along with all the excitement of becoming engaged, there’s also quite a bit of organising to do. Depending on your style of wedding, you may need to book a reception centre and perhaps your favourite florist and photographer. Most importantly, you need to find a Celebrant that you feel very comfortable with.

I invite you to contact me for a no obligation chat about your requirements.

Below is a brief outline of the service I provide you wiht.

Initial ‘no obligation’ meeting

Preferably ‘face to face’ where we can talk about your requirements and get to know each other. If time or travel constraints apply, we can do this over the phone.

If you decide that I’m the right celebrant for your wedding, then the fun and excitement continues…not to mention some serious planning.

2nd meeting

We will sign the legal documents required for your ceremony. At this meeting you will need to produce certain identification. We’ll have a more in depth discussion of your wedding ceremony requirements. I’ll ask you lots of questions and vice versa until we feel that we all have a thorough understanding of all aspects of your wedding and the style of ceremony you desire.

Further consultations as required.

From the moment you engage me as your Celebrant, I am available to you by face to face , phone and email. Generally, a couple of face to face meetings is all that is needed and the ceremony can be planned and sent via email, but if you need to see me more, I’ll be happy to oblige.

Client Folder

I will loan you a comprehensive Client Folder which has a wide variety of beautiful ideas for your ceremony. This folder covers all aspects of the ceremony and its purpose is to provide you with some ideas. It includes sample wording for each part of the ceremony, from the Introduction to the Declaration of Marriage and everything in between. There are a range of readings, some traditional and well known, while others are more contemporary. Of course, in the unlikely event that you are unable to find the perfect idea from the folder… we’ll search until we find exactly what you want!

Design the Ceremony

The resources in the folder will assist us in designing a perfect wedding ceremony for you. In consultation with you, I will create a ceremony that is unique to you and your day. After the initial face to face appointments, the process of perfecting the ceremony is usually completed by email or phone and of course, we also walk through and fine tune details at the rehearsal.

Rehearsal

Within 2 weeks of your wedding date, we will have a rehearsal on site – if possible, this should also include your attendants. This is a fantastic opportunity to settle any nerves and practice the choreography of the ceremony. It is also a lovely chance for your attendants to meet each other if they have not already done so.

Ceremony

I will conduct your ceremony in a professional and friendly manner to ensure that you can relax and enjoy the moment!

Legal Documents

All legal documents will be completed and lodged in a timely manner.

Special Touches

At Perth Celebrants, we include a number of special touches to make your day as memorable as possible.

Printed Copy of Ceremony – As a keepsake, you will be presented with a beautifully printed copy of your ceremony.

Signing Table – We can also provide a beautifully laid Signing Table if required.

Change of Name Kit – if applicable, a professional kit to assist you with the basic requirements of changing to your married name.

Official Marriage Certificate – To get an official copy of your Certificate of Marriage you need to complete this application and pay a fee of $42 to the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages. If you complete the application (with payment details) I will submit it for you with your other documents. This will reduce delay and avoid having to provide three forms of ID when applying for passports etc.

Assistant – a professional assistant attends every ceremony with me to ensure that everything is perfect.

PA System – We use a very popular PA system for our ceremonies, complete with lapel, hand held and freestanding microphone and speaker. For larger weddings, we have the option of using our 2nd freestanding speaker as well to ensure that your guests will hear your ceremony clearly. This system has a facility to play CD’s and you are welcome to make use of this for your ceremony music (free of charge).
